100% Pure Beeswax means not blended, no dyes or fragrances.
The word Pure, by itself, has been degraded to mean only 51% Pure. The other 49% can be paraffin or other blend of inexpensive wax.
If a candle states the type of wax without the word Pure, it’s very likely been blended with another wax or additive.
Beeswax, the oldest known raw material for candles, is made naturally by honeybees. The availability of beeswax is naturally limited, and therefore more expensive than other candle waxes. After the beekeeper gently filters the beeswax, removing the honey and propolis, the wax is ready to make candles. This process does not include any harsh chemicals or detergents. It does not need to be blended or altered in any way to make a candle. It is the only wax in the world that is does not have to be processed in a factory or blended to make a candle.
100% Pure Beeswax candles do not emit carcinogens and toxins into the air. The natural sweet honey fragrance in 100% pure beeswax comes from the propolis, pollen, and honey stored in the honeycomb, which is where the wax comes from. Other candles use fragrances to create a mood, or deter bugs, but these candles can also emit harmful carcinogens and toxins due to the chemicals used in making the fragrance.
Beeswax has one of the highest melting points of all candle wax, which burns much longer than any other candle wax. The high melt point also emits a hotter flame resulting in the brilliant glow of 100% pure beeswax candles. This hotter flame produces a cleaner burn, which is virtually smoke and soot free.
