100% Pure Beeswax Pillar Candles

The one-ingredient candle, in one-of-a-kind designs. Every pillar here is 100% pure beeswax - no paraffin, no soy, no coconut oil, no added fragrance - and every design is original to our studio, so the pillar on your table isn’t the same one on everyone else’s.

A pillar is the one candle that shows off lit or unlit. It can sit on your table for as long as you want, burn for hours at a time, and still keep you company for weeks. And when it’s lit, a pillar puts on a warm golden glow - if it has a design, you get to watch that design reveal itself as the candle burns down.

The only scent is the wax itself: a light, bee-made sweetness, like honey on warm toast. It comes from the hive, not from a bottle.

Full-size pillars run from 2.25" to 3" across and 4" to 6" tall, with minis for smaller moments. Any heatproof dish makes a fine base - a pillar asks for nothing more than a plate beneath it.

How to burn a pillar candle well

A pillar rewards a little planning. Every time you light it, give it about one hour of burn for every inch of its width- a 3-inch pillar wants around three hours, and narrower pillars and minis need less time. Match the hours to the inches, and the melted wax spreads to the edge instead of digging a hole down the middle. (That stranded-wax hole is called tunneling, and burn time is almost always the cure.) Light a pillar on the evenings you'll be home a while - that's when it does its best work.

How long does a beeswax pillar burn?

Beeswax is the densest candle wax with the highest melting point, so it burns slower and brighter than a soy or paraffin candle of the same size. Burned by the melt-pool rule, a full-size pillar keeps you company for weeks of evenings. Each pillar's product page lists what that design needs in its Tips section - the hours per burn, and anything particular to the shape.
