100% Pure Beeswax Tea Lights

Two ways to burn the smallest candle in the studio. Every tea light here is 100% pure beeswax - no paraffin, no soy, no added fragrance - with our bee stamped on top.

The classic comes in a clear cup and drops into the holders you already own, burning five hours or more at a time. Moon Drops are our refillable tea lights: a rounded drop of beeswax in a stainless steel cup you keep, about six hours each, with no plastic cup to throw away.

The honey note you'll notice while one burns is the wax itself, just as the bees made it.

Classic tea light or Moon Drop?

It comes down to the holder. If you have tea light holders you love, a lantern or a wax warmer, the classic tea light is the easy pick. It sits in a clear, US-made cup that fits most standard holders, so you just drop it in and light it.

Moon Drops are shaped for the stainless steel cups they come with, which are a little wider than a standard tea light cup. The cup is yours to keep. When one candle is done, the next one goes in, and there's no plastic cup to throw away. Every Moon Drops box includes cups, so you can have more than one lit at a time.

How long does a beeswax tea light burn?

A classic tea light burns five hours or more, long enough to light dinner and still be glowing when the dishes are done. A Moon Drop gives about six hours, and each one can be relit twice. Beeswax is a harder, denser wax than soy or paraffin, so even a small candle lasts a good while.

For the fullest burn, keep it out of a draft and let it burn in one sitting when you can. The wicks look after themselves: no trimming, nothing to fuss with.

A season's worth of light

Tea lights are the candle people burn most, so they come by the box: 10, 50 or 165 classic tea lights, and Moon Drops in 10, 50 or 163 with their cups. For a gift or a long winter, the Bee Cozy set packs 99 tea lights and 20 votives with two holders in one box.

Want a longer evening from one candle? A beeswax votive is the same wax without the cup, and in a snug glass holder it burns 15 to 17 hours.
