When someone needs steadying, this is the hymn they reach for — a way of being carried through. This candle keeps it close: the words and music of the hymn pressed into 100% pure beeswax, wrapping the whole pillar so the light settles into every line.
It's found its way into a lot of homes — as a candle of faith, as a gift for someone going through something hard, and as a light for the anniversary of a loss, or just for remembering someone loved. Whatever you light it for, it's meant to sit with you a while.

Like everything we make, it's 100% pure beeswax: nothing added, no dyes, no synthetic fragrance. The scent is the beeswax itself — warm and lightly honeyed, the smell of the comb it came from, because it's made by bees, not mixed in a lab. Beeswax is a hard, dense wax, so a pillar this size takes its time and burns long and slow.

We have tried so many examples from many different sources and have not found any to compare. Others do not burn correctly or are missing the wonderful scent from Big Moon candles. I'm not sure what voodoo Bryce has going with the bees but it works the best!

Big Moon is THE BEST beeswax candle source around. Period. We've got a place nearby but the quality of their offerings pales in comparison. These larger 3x6 candles burn clean and bright and smell amazing. No blemishes, the wicks are PERFECT and they last a long time. So happy with this candle! Ordered on a lark and now it's our favorite. Absolutely adore the honeycomb design and appreciate all the craftsmanship that goes into ALL of Big Moon's candles but this one in particular is a superstar. I bought 3 pillars 3 years ago and they are just now getting near the end of their lifespan… I use them all winter. They are so beautiful and the light they put out is warm. And they smell so good- just a touch of honey. Love them… going to purchase another 3 soon!
Our family traditions include a lovely fixture that holds 12 votive candle glasses in an oval. We light one votive on the first day of Christmas, two on the second, and so on, so by Twelfth night the light has grown bright indeed. These votives bring excellent quality sweet scent and warm glow year after year.
Melt Pool Rule
Allow pillar to burn one hour per inch diameter (width) of the pillar to prevent tunneling. If burning for multiple hours, trim the wick whenever the flame starts to get tall, pointy and flickering back and forth.

The candles designed and produced by Big Moon Beeswax, are made from 100% Pure Beeswax, hand selected from apiaries located within the Pacific Northwest. Since beeswax is made naturally by bees, the wax color and fragrance will vary depending on where in North America the honeybees forage. We select all our beeswax according to fragrance, color and geographical foraging regions. Our most frequently used beeswax colors range from a soft yellow to a rich golden hue.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers a product to be fragrance-free when there are “no fragrance materials or masking scents used in a product.” 100% pure beeswax has zero added fragrance materials, but still smells beautiful naturally.
