Burn time 60+ hours

'Timeless' is the plain one, on purpose. No pattern, no design — a smooth, round pillar of 100% pure Pacific Northwest beeswax that goes with any room you put it in. The soft honey scent you'll notice was there before we were: it comes with the wax from the hive, and nothing was added to it. It burns slow and bright, and one pillar keeps coming back night after night.

  • About 65 hours of burn time — one pillar covers weeks of evenings.
  • 3" wide, 4" tall. Light it on a fire-resistant plate every time — our 3" stainless plate is made for exactly this size.
  • Naturally fragrance-free — easy around sensitive noses, kids, and pets.

How long should I burn a 3x4 beeswax pillar?

About three hours at a stretch — one hour for every inch of width. That's how long the melt pool takes to reach the edge, and a full melt pool is what keeps a pillar burning evenly all the way down instead of tunneling. Beeswax is a hard, dense wax, so it burns slowly; a 3x4 pillar gives you around 65 hours in total.

Two small things that help: keep it out of a draft, and know that the wick is meant to curl to one side as it burns. If one side of the pillar is staying thicker, nudge the wick the other way while the wax is soft.

The patterned pillars burn the same wax the same way — see the rest of the pillars.

Candle care tip

Give a pillar a full first burn — one hour for every inch of width. A 3" pillar wants about a three-hour first light, long enough for the melt pool to reach the outer edge. That even first burn is what keeps a pillar from tunneling down the middle and wasting the outer wall. Always burn on a fire-safe plate or in a holder. the melt pool rule, explained →
