Here in the Pacific Northwest, home of Big Moon Beeswax, our valleys are bursting with a rainbow of colors during the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Each spring, over a million visitors come to our area to experience one of the world's largest display of tulip blooms in all its glory.
Seeing such natural beauty is awe-inspiring and we have to thank those tiny foragers, the honeybees, for making this flower art possible.
According to the National Institute of Health and the National Library of Medicine, 34.7% of people will suffer headaches, migraines and upper respiratory issues when exposed to strong fragrances in artificially scented products. That means 1 in 3 people will feel negative affects while being exposed to candles with added perfume. The candles designed and produced by Big Moon Beeswax, are made from 100% Pure Beeswax, hand selected from apiaries located within the Pacific Northwest.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers a product to be fragrance-free when there are “no fragrance materials or masking scents used in a product.” 100% pure beeswax has zero added fragrance materials, but still smells beautiful naturally. It is the only candle wax that smells lovely in its natural state without any added fragrances or masking agents.
Each tulip is wrapped in our bee-themed tissue paper.
We will never buy our beeswax from China or from beeswax resellers that processes the wax from unknown origins before converting into pellets. We buy our beeswax directly from apiaries in the Pacific Northwest area. We pay more for this premium wax, but it’s important to know that the wax we use and breathe in as candles are safe and pure. Our wicks are made right here in the USA out of cotton. Check out our 'About Big Moon Beeswax Candles' page to learn more.
